First organized in 2009 at the inception of TARGA itself, the International Traditional Gaming Week (ITGW) was created with the following goals:

We are challenging you, ourselves, and old school referees everywhere to find a game store, contact the owner or manager, and arrange a demo of your favorite old school game or retro-clone. Or invite some friends (gamers and/or newbies) to your home for a one-shot adventure. We need to get people playing!

The first week was a success.

ITGW will be run (TBD) in 2010. It's goals will remain similar but with the help of Regional Coordinators and perhaps sponsors, we'll see additional games and events being run.
